Other Societies’ Meetings/Conferences

LPS Forum, LGA

There is a second Large Panel Systems Forum organised by MHCLG and the LGA, to be held in Birmingham on 22 January 2020, from 10AM – 4PM.

There was a similar event in late 2018 and we feel it is important to continue to share information and best practice amongst building owners and create a network of expertise and support to manage issues related to Large Panel System buildings.

The event will cover LPS blocks – history and challenges, retaining and remediating blocks, supporting residents. Speakers include LGA, BRE, Southwark and Islington

Please contact Priya.thethi@local.gov.uk if you wish to attend. The final agenda for the day will be published in due course.

Members enquiries

Pivot Hinge Doors

Max, Hants CC has had 3 incidents involving pivot hinge doors coming off and falling, thankfully no serious injuries. Have any SPACES members had similar issues?

The doors with problems are the original SAPA ST stormframe and the newer SAPA STII doors.

If you have had any similar issues or  you want further information on what happened, please contact Max direct.

Thank you to all those that respond to enquiries.
