Study Day 2019

This year’s Study Day will be held on Thursday 20th June at De Montfort University, Leicester on the theme of Education.

Planning of the day has already taken place, and we already have two main stage speakers:

David Laws Executive Chairman of the Education Policy Institute and former Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Schools Minister, and Cabinet Office Minister.

Professor Stephen Heppell described by MacMillan Education as a “renowned expert in education, media, technology and learning environments and by Microsoft as “Europe’s leading online education expert”.

The Study Day is very much a ‘nuts-and-bolts, hands-on’ event with the emphasis on real experiences and lessons learned, so the day is interspersed with workshops and case studies related to the design and management of the education estate for example School Design and Building Bulletins from the Department for Education, Post Occupancy Evaluations, CBDM, Lighting Innovations and Modular Design (this list is not confirmed or exhaustive). In short, it will be a great opportunity to share knowledge and information and to learn best practice from around the country and make new networks.

The previous day (Wednesday 19th June) there will be a visit to a local building as well as an informal dinner followed by drinks in the bar, where there will be an opportunity to network with those staying the night before.

So far the following have agreed to sponsor the day, Faithful+GouldPick EverardVelux, and Willmott Dixon and the evening before is being sponsored by Concertus. If your company is interested in sponsoring, please see the attached. If your company is interested in sponsoring, please see the attached.

Tickets will be available in March. Please see our WebsiteLinkedIn and Twitter for further updates.
